Jon Rafael Birondo is a Camera Assistant (and occasional Director) born to Filipino immigrants and raised in Texas. Jon works as a 2nd Assistant Camera / Utility in the narrative, episodic, music video, and commercial space. 

His passion for filmmaking has allowed him to crew on projects for acclaimed directors such as Martin Scorsese and Paul Thomas Anderson, studios and streaming services such as Paramount, Warner Bros., Netflix, Hulu, Apple Studios, and Peacock, and for companies such as Toyota, General Motors, Burger King, Hers, Crash Champions, Riot Games, Raising Canes, Nike Air Jordan, Playstation, Interstate Battery, Main Event, and Wing Stop.

Jon is a member of ICG Local 600 in the Central Region and can work locally in Los Angeles, CA & Dallas / Fort Worth, TX.

Jon works closely with the Dallas-based filmmaking collective TAMARIND. He is currently in post-production on a short documentary film centered around Archer City, TX.
